Arts On The Creek, Inc. will continue hosting Children's Town and the High School Arts Exhibition at the 2013 Johns Creek Arts Festival (JCAF).Continuing the tradition started in 2012, AOTC partnered with the City of Johns Creek and Splash Festivals to handle two major areas of the JCAF.
In 2012, AOTC provided a booth for student artists from the three public high schools in the city to display and sell their artwork. Adding to Chattahoochee, Johns Creek and Northview high schools, the 2013 exhibition also featured student work from Centennial High School.
Student work sold from more than $200 in the two-day exhibit. As in the previous years, attendees were pleasantly shocked by the quality of the art, calling it among the most creative and accomplished in the entire festival.
AOTC hosted Children's Town, which will contain art projects and demonstrations for youngsters. Kids painted and decorated wood that emulated The Block Party blocks, which is an AOTC project. Additionally, children made visors and other items using materials provided by AOTC. Donations were given to support a local Girl Scout troop.
