Arts On The Creek, Inc. is a non-profit organization that presented the largest arts festival in Johns Creek, GA from 2007-2011.
Our latest project is THE BLOCK PARTY, which gives Georgia artists from age 6 through adults the unique opportunity to create artwork using a block of wood. Entrants will be displayed on our website and top entries will be displayed in a traveling exhibit around Georgia.
In 2007, just after the founding of the city of Johns Creek on Dec. 1, 2006, AOTC took a leadership position to create the first arts festival in the city. Working as a committee of the Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce, AOTC founded the largest event in the city for its first five years. Crowds of more than 20,000 visited the festival that featured fine art sold in our Artists' Market; music, theater and other entertainment; Children's Town with hands-on art by The Home Depot, creative, entertaining activities and inflatables; a sponsor village featuring Fifth Third Bank (our presenting sponsor for two years) and more than 30 local and area businesses. We also featured a juried art show that we was hosted by the Johns Creek Arts Center 2010-2012.
AOTC co-hosted the 2012 Johns Creek Arts Festival with the City of Johns Creek, coordinated by Splash Festivals. In 2013 and 2014 we continued to participate in the Johns Creek Arts Festival, hosting the High School Art Exhibition -- with artwork by students of Centennial, Chattahoochee, Johns Creek and Northview High Schools) and a participatory children's art booth.
Arts On The Creek, Inc. is organized and managed by a dedicated team of volunteers who serve on our Board of Directors and Teams. We welcome all volunteers who want to make the arts an important part of Johns Creek.
